Sales and Selling 101: A Small Business Primer for Success in Sales

August 4, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

Free

Topic: Marketing and Sales
For the new enterprise, there are hundreds of serious matters for the owner and leaders to consider. Sales is the #1 consideration. If there are no sales, it’s not a business – it’s an expensive hobby. Selling is the process of persuading a person or organization to buy something.

Prior to successful selling, it must be determined who are the people in need of your product or service. Are these people able to buy your product or service? If they are able to buy from you, why should they? If you’re selling a product or service, it is necessary to focus your selling efforts on communicating the benefits to the buyer. How well the benefits are communicated will determine how successful your sales efforts will be. Even large,
established companies fail at this. For the small enterprise, sales = survival.

This webinar will provide the insights, principles, and process to position your product or service to sell. The sales initiative must be well thought out and carefully planned. This webinar will equip business owners and leaders with what’s needed for sales success and remove all the guesswork.

This webinar is part of the Planting the Seed for Small Business Growth series in partnership with the Xavier University of Louisiana Entrepreneurship Institute.

Speaker(s): Ron Markham, SBDC Business Consultant
