Scott Berg

Scott Berg was born in Princeton, New Jersey in 1976 and moved to Baton Rouge in 1978 where
he attended Episcopal High School. He graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of
Science in Management in 1998 and went on to Graduate from LSU with a Master’s in Business
Administration in 2005. Additionally, Scott graduated from The Gemological Institute of
America as a Graduate Gemologist in 1998.
Scott is the President of Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry and has been deeply involved in the jewelry
industry, including occupying positions on various industry specific boards. Scott is a past Board
Chair of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee, and past President of the American Gem Society and
former board member of Jewelers for Children.
Scott is married to Leslie and they have three children: Emily-19, Jacob-17, and Lee William-12.
He is actively involved in the Baton Rouge civic community with philanthropic endeavors
including past chair of the board for United Way of Baton Rouge, The Arts Council of Greater
Baton Rouge and Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. He is currently serving on the
President’s Council for Tulane University and is a past Advisory Board Member for the Junior
League of Baton Rouge. Scott is a past board member of the Baton Rouge General Foundation
and past president of Young Presidents Organization. He has been honored as a past SME
Marketer of the Year, 40 under 40 recipient and was recognized as the United Way Board of
Directors Volunteer of the Year in 2014.
