Work-In-Progress Accounting for Construction Contractors
September 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm CDT
Join the Urban League of Louisiana on Wednesday, September 25, 10:00am-12:00pm, for “What All Construction Contractors Need to Know about Work-In-Progress Accounting”. This virtual session is a part of a series of monthly events in collaboration with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development’s DBE Supportive Services program.
Work in Progress (WIP) accounting is a key part of construction accounting that tracks costs and revenue throughout a construction project’s lifecycle. WIP reports are a fundamental part of construction management and accounting. WIP reports help contractors manage their budgets effectively, predict project overruns, optimize cash flow, create accurate financial statements, and understand the current profitability of a job. These reports also allow contractors to use the percentage of completion method which allows companies to recognize revenue as work is completed.
During this session, attendees will learn how to build and manage a WIP report considering the contract amount, total estimated costs, billings, recognized revenue, over/under billings, etc.
This session will be facilitated by Jordan Montz, CPA, CCIFP, MBA, Director, Audit and Assurance Services, LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors.
There is no cost to attend, however, registration is required. Register today to reserve your spot!
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
