About
Innovation Catalyst (\”ICI\”) is a nonprofit venture development organization, whose primary initiative is The Catalyst Fund, an early-stage capital fund that seeds high-growth, Louisiana based companies, especially those owned by women, veterans, and minorities. The Red Stick Angel Network, a subsidiary of ICI, is a formalized network of 40 accredited investors (plus spouses) from the Baton Rouge area who work together to evaluate, fund and nurture early-stage Louisiana based companies. In 2020, we launched the Venture Capital Apprentice Program (\”VCAP\”), a collaboration with NexusLA, LSU Innovation Park and the LSU E.J. Ourso School of Business. Its purpose is two-fold: To provide participating LSU students with real-world finance and business-related experience, along with networking and employment opportunities, and secondly, to provide high-growth Louisiana based companies, who require finance, market and competitive research support services related to their business planning, operation, and fundraising activities, with a team of “free,” smart and motivated students. ICI also provides funding and support to NexusLA and its BREW, Ignition and BizTech Challenge programs.Services Provided
