LA Tech Transfer Office, Business & Tech Center & Stennis Space Center

The Louisiana Technology Transfer Office (LTTO), established in 1990, is a main component of the Louisiana Business & Technology Center (LBTC) in Baton Rouge and a technology transfer office at the NASA John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi with a presence there for over 27 years. The LTTO is designated by the Governor’s Office as the official entity for support and to administer the SBIR-STTR Program in Louisiana. LTTO assists small technology-oriented businesses, university faculty, entrepreneurs, and others with identifying/preparing/competing for federal R&D grants. LTTO also assists LA-based small businesses with procurement opportunities at Stennis Space Center and the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans.


  • Matching Louisiana businesses and research universities with resources and expertise within the federal laboratory system.
  • Conducting site visits with Louisiana companies to assess their technical needs and to offer solutions to their problems.  Facilitating technology transfer between federal agencies and Louisiana industries.
  • Assisting Louisiana companies.  Assisting Louisiana businesses in applying for and winning these federal grants/contracts.
  • Accessing information from a network of technology resources including the Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer, the State Science and Technology Institute, the Small Business Technology Council, and numerous others.
