Flyte (Financial Learning You Take Everywhere)

Flyte is a small business focused nonprofit that runs a fully virtual, 12-month program. We are based out of New Orleans but serve small businesses across Southeast Louisiana, predominantly owned by Black women from low and moderate-income households

About

Applications for our fully virtual program start January 1st each year until March 31st and our program launches May 1st. We currently serve 100 businesses each year across Southeast Louisiana from Lafayette to the Mississippi Border. The program is free and provides the following resources over 12 months:
  • A dedicated professional mentor you will meet with monthly
  • 20+ hours of virtual learning focused on personal finance, business finance, marketing and emotions around finance
  • Access to free professional assistance resources (credit building, budgeting, business planning, marketing, legal, bookkeeping, tax filing and more)
  • Interest and fee free micro-loans of up to $2,000*
  • Stipends for childcare expenses*
We primarily serve small businesses that are early stage and with less than $100,000 in revenues. We focus on typical \’Main Street\’ mom and pop type businesses that typically support Louisiana cultural pillars. Priority is given to Black women owned businesses from low and moderate-income households. *These resources are subject to household income level and benchmarks being met on the program
