Westbank Business & Industry Association

WBIA is the premiere business organization for the WestBank of New Orleans since 1946. WBIA is dedicated to a collaborative effort of the business community to support, improve, and protect the members and community.

About

Westbank Business & Industry Association (WBIA) is member driven.  Join this close nit group to increase your business connections throughout the community.  Monthly networking opportunities give you time to gain creditability and find community involvement while building government relationships. Why join? It increases business connections while sparking new ideas. Our monthly luncheons have keynote speakers addressing your concerns. We respect your time by keeping the programs on time. Have lunch and expand your knowledge about resources available to you, opportunities in the region, legislative updates, and more. We listen to your ideas and concerns, then follow up with leaders that can address those items. Looking for a little work and play? We have a great time at our annual Crawfish Boil and Golf Tournament!  WBIA Special Events is the place you can grab sponsorships, invite customers, clients and employees to get some work done outdoors. Expand your visibility from a different view point. Need help with meeting your public officials? Can\’t figure out the process for getting your doors open or expanding your operation? Looking for skilled labor? Let WBIA help you make the connection you need to keep you moving forward. We work through five standing committees. 1) Government & Environment Committee 2) Workforce Development Committee 3) Special Events Committee 4) Infrastructure Committee and 5) Membership Committee.  WBIA serves on the Jefferson Economic Development Commission (JEDCO) Board; is one of seven nominating agencies for the two Jefferson Parish Board of Commissioners for the Port of New Orleans; on the Coastal Protection & Restoration Authority (CPRA) Board; the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority West (SLFPA-W) Board; Jefferson Parish Schools Career Technical Education Advisory Board; Ready Start Advisory Board; and the Jefferson Parish Workforce Development Board. We are an extension of your business. Allow us to help you through your next steps. We are here to serve you. #connect #communicate #cultivate
